"I have been using John Gannon from Gannon Enterprises since the summer of 2019. My original chimney (1964) required rebuilding from the roof up due to slow leaking from age, wear and weather. John came over immediately and looked at it. He also tarped the entire 3 flue chimney until he could rebuild it.

I was referred to John by my roofing company to assess water problems with my 50 year old chimneys. Within days John and I met and he discussed the right masonry techniques to correct problems.
John was able to locate bricks that would blend with both chimneys and he was able to schedule the rebuilds together. I was kept appraised when materials would be delivered and work began as scheduled.
After the first chimney was completed, I knew John and his team were masters of the trade! Careful blending of old/new bricks, grinding and new mortar was required along with the rebuild. A view from the ground confirmed their skill and attention to detail and workmanship.

"John Gannon is more than a master mason. He is an artist whose craftsmanship is exceptional.
Before I met John, I had my eighty-year old chimney rebuilt prior to putting a new roof on my house. Very soon afterward, I noticed water stains on the beams in my attic. While the roofer and the mason blamed each other, neither stopped the leak. No matter what repairs were done by other contractors, water was literally dripping into my attic—for twelve years. After contacting John, he come to my house within days, and instantly determined the cause of the leak. More importantly, he explained clearly and in detail exactly why my chimney was leaking and how to stop it. The solution required tearing the chimney down to the roof again and rebuilding it. In the process, John’s use of a through-flashing system was more extensive than what had been done before. Now, the water from heavy rains is directed outwards rather than seeping into the bricks and into my attic. My chimney is watertight.
Throughout the project, John and his team arrived on time each day, worked hard, and stuck to the proposed timeline for the project. They were respectful, considerate, and careful when working on my property.
Soon, John will be fixing my front steps. They were redone only seven years ago, but look awful. Since my house--now over ninety years old--has a brick front, I want the new step bricks to match the house front as much as possible. John has been searching for the right color bricks for a year. Recently, we met at a brick yard, so I could see the selection of bricks he found. I look forward to my new steps!"
