An insurance claim was submitted for this project after an accident involving a car hitting the building. Servpro of Bloomfield was the GC on the project and we created a Scope of Work document for the adjuster
Brownstone is a sandstone meaning is less dense than granite or quartz. A softer mortar had to be used but also a dye to match the existing color.
This brownstone building is located in the Historic District of Somers CT. Special attention was made in rebuilding this stone gable in order to match the existing look and style of the original structure
The original brownstone header for this window was broken from the impact so we designed a steel lintel to support the stone and roof weight above
Stone work finished applying a Beaded white mortar joint to match existing Brownstone structure.
The original Blacksmith sign was preserved and reattached to the building
